Non-functional requirements are often constraints or standards that the system needs to conform to, e.g. which browsers should it work on, what accessibility standards should it meet, how fast should it perform, how many concurrent users should it support, that kind of stuff.

It’s not so much quantitative vs. qualitative, it’s more ‘things to do’ vs ‘standards/measures to meet’.

Not really. Anyone has the potential of becoming a Business Analysts and your experience in Project Coordination will definitely come in handy.

But you also need to be realistic. Obviously, you will be competing for the role with others who will have previous experience in Business Analysis or could be in that same role somewhere else.

So you need to prepare. Don’t be afraid of the competition. Learn from them & make sure you have something unique to offer. Being able to “sell yourself” is one of the most important skills you need to learn regardless of which field you choose to specialize in. This will help: Job Interview Skills Training Course.

In terms of what type you questions you can get asked read this: Career Advice.

A few examples of Interview Questions for the role of a Business Analyst include:

    • Could you give me an example of how you would consolidate business requirements?
    • How would you navigate a technical constraint which prevents you to achieve a business need as described by your key stake holder?
    • Can you tell me about an important business problem you helped to solve and how you did it?
